Introduction

Hi my name is Tiffany Manning and I am in ENG1131: Writing Through Media. This class is a modern style English class that interprets the usage of modern technology. During the course of this class we will analyze, critique and explain images and literature. The literature, however, is not restricted to novels and academic journals; literature may include websites, films, and other forms of technology. Throughout this semester a minimum of ten blogs will be posted. These blogs will cover in class discussions as well as incorporate out of class experiences.

I am a second year Public Relations major at the University of Florida with an interest in Entertainment Law. I love to write, listen to music and watch movies. I use my passion for music and movies to help me relate to people and the many different lifestyles I am exposed to. Along the entertaining aspect, I enjoy writing and writing about modern technology and how the media has influenced through modern technology. One day I hope that all of this will contribute and advance a career as an Entertainment Lawyer.

I use this image because it incorporates every aspect of this course. The newspaper encompasses the writing component, the pictures embrace the media portion, and the woman with the camera incorporates the modern techonologhy part of the class. All of these elements combined are components that make up this course and will lead to my success in this course.
